About us
- من نحن

The Sudanese American Development &
Integration Center (SAIDC)
is a non-profit, non-membership, community-based organization
headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
SAIDC
was established in 2002 as a Sudanese cooperative initiative
responding to specific needs of the Sudanese community in the area.
Initially, SAIDC’s
focus was primarily on the provision of assistance in situations
requiring collective effort and finance. However, with a growing
population of newcomers, the scope of services has broadened to
include the facilitation of their transition into the American
society. Thus, a multitude of support services has been adopted to
meet immediate and essential needs in the areas of language,
culture, employment, housing, legal counseling, and medical care.
With the establishment of a basic welfare foundation for individuals
and families, the fulfillment of future aspirations has led to the
embracing of different programs in education, socio-economic
development, capacity and skill-building; in addition to youth and
women programs. Health awareness, extracurricular activities, and
various social and cultural activities have also been part of
SAIDC’s
organizational role, which has become inclusively reaching to all
individuals regardless of their origin, race, gender, or creed.
Consequently, SAIDC
is now an organization that is discharging a broader social
responsibility for a culturally diverse community. .
Mission Statement
SAIDC’s mission is to use all available
community-enriching programs and resources in producing educated,
skillful, independent, productive, community-active,
